Privacy policy
Draft for legal review before App Store submission.
This policy explains what the Pulse app and website ("Pulse"), operated by Makro Ops ("we"), collect and how it's used.
What we collect
- Account: your name, email address and phone number, and which firms and roles you're associated with.
- Work data: assignments, invoices and payment status provided by the firms and carriers you work with through the VIP network.
- QuickBooks: if you connect QuickBooks Online, we store an encrypted access grant and read your customers and unpaid invoices. We write customers, invoices, payments and early pay records as described in the app. We don't read your bank feeds or payroll.
- Payouts: if you use early pay, the payout account you choose and payout history. Card and bank details are held by our payments provider, not by us.
- Device: a push notification token and your device type. With your permission, your location is used on your phone to show your position on the assignments map; it isn't sent to us.
How we use it
To run the app: show your work and money, keep QuickBooks up to date, decide early pay eligibility, send payouts, send notifications you've enabled, and provide support. We don't sell personal information and don't use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- The firms and carriers you work with, for the work you do with them.
- Service providers that run Pulse for us: hosting (Railway), sign-in (Clerk), notifications (Expo), Intuit (QuickBooks, only if you connect it), and our payments provider (only if you use early pay).
- When required by law.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. Deleting your account in the app (Profile → Delete account) removes your Pulse account, devices and QuickBooks connection. Records that firms, carriers or regulators require us to keep, such as early pay transactions, are retained as required by law.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, and QuickBooks access grants are encrypted at rest.
